We can image if big ship can brought many container once trip. But in our design many parameter must our thought to get optimum design, for example resistance equivalent with fuel consumption, stability, and construction. Efficiency of scale
If we design ship have 10% large with others can give about 4-5% higher transport efficiency. But the problem is limitation from deep in port handling and sea track.
Ship stability is dangerous if value of KG highest position, this position when ship nothing bring good, for minimal that problem we can use water ballast in bellow of deck and edge ship position. Removing 3000 tons of permanent ballast from
a PCTC make reduce propulsion power demand by 8.5% but to achieve the same stability will reduce the increasing the beam by 0.25 metres. and the important is to ensure propeller sink bellow sea water.
