Today, energy is very sensitive for human live, limited of energy make people deeply thought to “increase” energy production, Actually as long as complete energy make us increase efficiency system. How to produce power as we called energy. either that system is turbine, the modification of system to increase efficiency used gas turbine.
But before we learn about gas turbine, actually turbine was distinguished 2 kind, once is called steam turbine where used water as working fluid, and other is gas turbine. the different of turbine based on working fluid.The first, equipment of gas turbine is compressor, combustion chamber, power turbine (blade). air intake enter centrifugal compressor and when system start compressor work with electrical additional and after it has run with energy its self form main shaft. And then compress fluid through combustion chamber and will ignition due to properties of gas with pressure parameter. As we know, heat presented energy with enthalpy parameter. How to calculate?the first we must know about T-s diagram, P-h diagram, thermodynamic law 1,2, and 3, mass conservation, momentum, heat transfer, and etc. heat can move power turbine and generate electric due to enthalpy parameter. in combustion chamber, fluid mix with working fluid such as oil which enter on spot with injection to extended contact area of oil.
Process on compressor is isentropic where nothing heat absorb and release on system (read compressor), main parameter is pressure ration between outlet and inlet. PV^gama and gama is Cp/Cv (1,4 for normal condition) Cp = Cv + R, Cp is coefficient thermal with constant pressure and cv coefficient thermal with constant volume, there are parameter for fluid where this condition is air. enter in combustion chamber, the process is isobar, air bursting due to oil on limit pressure for self explosive. high pressure can trigger explosive of oil on thermodynamic parameter of oil. and then process on gas generate turbine is isentropic like on compressor. If we can produce high temperature that’s along with high enthalpy so , energy produce more bigger than low enthalpy but usually on high temperature trigger on effective combustion makes bad impact on material system. so that’s limit for temperature condition for engineering.
